One Month Left to Nominate for the 2023 Australian Sailing Awards

The 2023 Australian Sailing Awards are set to recognise clubs and members in all States and Territories for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the sailing community over the past year. Nominations are open and will close on Monday 31st July at 11:59pm.

YouthSail Registrations Now Open for QLD and NSW, Coming Soon in WA

Registrations are now open for the 2023 Youth Sail events in Queensland and New South Wales, and with registration opening soon for the Western Australian event, the 2023 summer is shaping up to be an exciting sailing season for young sailors around the country.

The Australia SailGP Team have agreed to a partnership with SKYY Vodka that will offer exclusive activities and content with the Australia SailGP Team at select clubs.

2023 SheSails Leadership Conference – Save the Date!

Australian Sailing is excited to announce the return of the highly anticipated 2023 SheSails Leadership Conference, with this year’s event set to make waves by becoming the first ever SheSails event with an international lineup of industry speakers.

The third edition of the SheSails Leadership Conference is set to be delivered via webinar at 6pm (AEDT) on Tuesday 3rd October 2023.

2023 Australian Youth Match Racing Championships

The 2023 Australian Youth Match Racing Championships are set to take place from Monday 3rd July to Friday 7th July at the Royal Perth Yacht Club

Safety in Focus 

Incident Reports Published

Two incident reports have been published by Australian Sailing. The first incident concerns the loss of rudders in the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and the second, an incident at the 2023 Teakle Classic Lincoln Week Regatta.

Club in Focus 

Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club

Situated on the beautiful Noosa River in south-east Queensland, the Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club is completely owned and operated by volunteers and is widely regarded as a friendly, family-orientated club at which visitors are most welcome. 

With the Club’s sailing water predominantly fueled by sea breezes, members are treated to some of the best flat water sailing conditions in the world, with ‘The Lake’ widely recognised as an excellent venue for small boat sailing. Read more about LCSC.

Australian Sailing Team News 

Australia announces Olympic Test Event Team

Australia has announced its 12-strong group of sailors set to represent the nation at this year’s Paris 2024 Test Event, which is set to take place at the Olympic venue from 9-16 July.
