Australian Sailing June 2023

Club News | June 2023 ⛵

Welcome to the June Edition of Club News

Nominations are now open for the Australian Sailing Awards, with each state set to celebrate outstanding members of our sailing community over the coming months. With several new and updated categories in 2023 – including the split of the Club of the Year Award in order to appropriately recognise clubs of all sizes – I strongly encourage you to nominate your club and/or members of your community today.

I would once again like to direct all club and class administrators the online Club & Class Hub – a fantastic collection of resources to assist clubs of all sizes with everything from governance to fundraising and beyond.

To assist with your planning, the month November this year will be Discover Sailing Month, a new initiative supported by Australian Sailing designed to make the ever-popular Discover Sailing Day more accessible to clubs around the country. Unlike previous years where Australian Sailing promoted a specific date for the initiative, this year clubs and class associations are invited to deliver Discover Sailing experiences throughout the month to new and existing members of their community. Australian Sailing is pleased to provide resources and information to assist clubs with the marketing of this important month and event.
