Discover Sailing Month Not Far Away!
November is Discover Sailing Month here at Australian Sailing, and there’s no better time than the present to prepare your club or Discover Sailing Centre to host a Discover Sailing Day of your own.
A Discover Sailing Day is a great initiative for all clubs to grow participation and membership. Designed to both attract participants to the club on the day, and to send a strong message to the local community throughout the year that clubs are open and ready to welcome new participants!
Updated Discover Sailing marketing resources are now available, and include resources that have been specifically prepared for Discover Sailing Month 2023, ready to utilise for November.
Discover Sailing Day is FREE for all affiliated sailing clubs and intended to be FREE for participants. All clubs can run a Discover Sailing Day. You do not need to be an accredited Discover Sailing Centre, although that may add some advantages in using qualified instructors and provided accredited learn to sail programs for your participants to register in to continue and grow their new found love for sailing.

Australian Sailing’s Club Support team are here to support clubs in the planning and executing their own ‘Discover Sailing Day’ event opening their club to the local community to try sailing.
All Australian Sailing affiliated club and class organisations have access to a variety of pre-made, free and editable marketing resources to assist with the promotion of your event.

Poster template for clubs to insert their own details and image for display within / around their club.

Choosing a Date
Now is the time for club administrators and decision makers to begin discussions and select a date for Discover Sailing Day 2023. Once a date has been selected, please follow the steps below to register your event on revsport so that Australian Sailing can provide you with its full support:
Add a new Event in your revSPORT portal.
Make sure you link it to the Discover Sailing Day template (this ensures your event is added to the national finder).
Add in all relevant event details: dates, times, venue.
CHECK, REVIEW, TEST and PROMOTE – Click on view event live to test your registration and copy the URL to make it available on your website and socials.
